Search Alternate Items Times Out when Searching only by Item (Doc ID 810831.1)

When performing a search by providing the Item number in Search Alternate Items page (without validating the Item against the LOV) the page timeout error occurs.

When Organization is selected first, all works fine, no timeouts and the search is performed quickly.

But: (1) end users do not have knowledge about what Organization to which the Item belongs and (2) Organization is not marked as "Required" on Search Alternate Items page.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Advanced Service Online User
2. Navigate to Configuration Management
3. Master Configuration
4. Search Alternate Items
5. Fill Item field and press Go button.
