Date Format Changes When Loaded Into Webadi (Doc ID 825030.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Human Resources - Version 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.2 [Release 11.5.10]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On 11.5.10.2 in Test (UAT):
Find that when passing data file in CSV (or any text file) as 01-APR-2009, when oracle loads into web adi datafile, it takes to 04/01/2009 i.e. as 04 jan 2009.

This happens to all dates <= 12th of any month. From 13th its working fine.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the date format is not changed for dates <= 12th of any month

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Choose 'Desktop Integrator' --> Create Document --> choose the custom integrator and input text file.

2. Click create document, excel sheet (Excel 2003) load date 01-APR-2009 as 04-JAN-2009

Version -> Oracle Web ADI 11i 8.4.1.38

Workaround:
Option 1 -> The date input parameter passed to the procedure used by the custom integrator is Date. Changing that to varchar2 datatype resolves the issue.

Option 2 -> No direct workaround, instead change the dates in web adi for each rows. (which is very hectic for huge number of rows)
