AGIS: Switching of Intercompany and Balancing Segment Value for Intercompany Balancing

(Doc ID 832535.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 08, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Presently, the intercompany and balancing segment values are not switched and hence users cannot identify the participating transacting/trading partner. Need the functionality to identify the participating/trading partners.

This is the scenario:

There are two legal entities which share the same ledger, chart of account or the same valueset for intercompany segment/BSV.
For the Intercompany Payable and Receivables account for an intercompany transaction between these LEs, the intercompany and balancing segment value should be switched with the appropriate transacting/trading partner BSV.

Following is the set up:

BSV 001, 002 attached to LE1
BSV 003, 004 attached to LE2

Accounting flexfield has the Intercompany segment, Natural Account and Balancing Segment Value.

Intercompany Setup:

LE1, All Other BSV --> LE2, All Other BSV
Payable account: 001.100.000
Receivable account: 001.200.000

LE2, All Other BSV --> LE1, All Other BSV
Payable account: 003.300.000
Receivable account: 003.400.000

Line. Account Dr Cr
1 002.XXX.000 1000
2 004.XXX.000 1000

Currently the balancing lines created will be as below:
Line Account Dr Cr
3 001.200.000 1000
4 003.300.000 1000
