How to Troubleshoot EU02 Error for Asset Journals Coming from Create Journal Entries in 11i (Doc ID 835607.1)

FAPOST

Purpose

Create Journal Entries (FAPOST) in Oracle Assets is a program that inserts journal entry lines into GL_INTERFACE.
Further processing by Journal Import program (GLLEZL) creates journal batches and journals using these lines. GLLEZL validates journals and in case the journal is unbalanced marks the journal with error code EU02.

ERROR
EU02 This journal entry is unbalanced and suspense posting is not allowed in this set of books.



If the process FAPOST was run for closed period Fixed Assets (FA) does not allow to run Rollback Journal Entries program and Journal gets stuck in GL_INTERFACE requiring a manual intervention using SQL script.
