Table Based Value Set In The Accounting Flexfield Does Not Copy The Account Attributes (Doc ID 839008.1)

Goal

You have created an accounting flexfield having for the Natural Account segment a table based value set to get the natural account values from another set of books (e.g. a business case to justify this setup would be to use this in consolidation processes when the business need is to copy the account segment values from the subsidiary to the consolidation set of books).

The table based value set was defined and assigned to the natural account segment. When attempting to define the new set of books, while entering the retained earnings account, it throws "Your Retained Earning account must be a balance sheet account" even if the original segment value is a balance sheet account (Owner Equity type) and even the original set of books uses the same retained earnings account.

This confirms the system can not retrieve the correct attributes of the original natural account. Changing the profile 'Flexfields: Validate on Server' to 'No' did not resolve the issue;recompiling the flexfield did not resolve the issue either.

How to resolve this?
