Symptoms

Detailed Problem Statement:
Changing an Item attribute results in auto-insertion of backslashes into the Item name field
Example: (SEGMENT1)\\\\\.123

Note: This cannot be duplicated when changing the same item attribute in Oracle Inventory.
This also could not be reproduced when items did not have a period defined as part of the item name.

### Steps to Reproduce ###
1. Development Manager > Item Catalog > Item Simple Search
2. Choose item with a period in the item name, i.e. SEGMENT1.123
3. In the Item workbench, make a change to the attribute. i.e. Item Status change from Active to Inactive.
4. Apply change
5. Item name gets changed from SEGMENT1.123 to SETMENT1\\\\\.123
