How to Troubleshoot FNDFS and FNDWRR (Problems Viewing Concurrent Request Output) (Doc ID 847844.1)

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive troubleshooting guide specific to the FND File Server and FND Web Report Review. The first part provides a general overview of the purpose of both FNDFS and FNDWRR.exe whereas the second half discusses the available diagnostic tests and debug methods available.

Some of the FNDFS and FNDWRR related errors which can be encountered when viewing request output include:

"An error occurred while attempting to establish an Applications File Server connection with the node FNDFS_<hostname>. There may be a network configuration problem, or the TNS listener on node FNDFS_<hostname> may not be running. Please contact your system administrator."

"An error occurred while attempting to receive the output arguments of the remote procedure.
Function ncrorou returned error code 1003. The Applications File Server process may have
exited abnormally. Please contact your system administrator."

"IAP-CANNOT READ FIELD (FIELDNAME=PARAMETER.CONFIG)"

"Authentication failed"

"SQL-GENERIC ERROR (ERRNO=3114) (ROUTINE=set_name) (REASON=ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE"

"Error connecting to database DEV_patch: ORA-1"

"'Error connecting to database dbname: ORA-11700088'"

""The file you are trying to open, 'FNDWRR.exe' is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"
