APP-INV-05525 When Updating Serial Control Attributes for Items Where No Onhand Exists (Doc ID 855763.1)

Problem Statements:

Scenario 1:

On 12.0.5 in instance error occured when trying to update the Serial Control attribute from Control at Receipt to No Control.
When checking the onhand for this item, no qty is available for Inbound.
It looks like that when there are records in mtl_supply, the serial control update is not
allowed, even when supply_type_code is 'PO' (Inbound).

Steps to Reproduce:
Check Availability for item though Material Workbench => No Qty exists, except for Inbound.
then go to Inventory Manager -> Master Items -> Update serial Control from 'at Receipt' to
'No Control' and try to save => Error: APP-INV-05525

Scenario 2:
When attempting to change the Control attribute in the section Lot expiration(shelf life) the following error occure.

Steps To Reproduce:
Inventory >Items > Master Item

Scenario 3:
When attempting to change the Lot Divisible attribute if there is an open PR/PO, the following error ocurs.

Inventory >Items > Master Item

Scenario 4:

System is not allowing to change lot and serial control attributes when there are records in mtl_Supply with supply_type_code in Receiving and Shipment only.

Steps To Reproduce:
Inventory >Items > Master Item

ERROR
APP-INV-05525: On hand quantity exists for this item, cannot change this value.
