Limit Application User Session to One For R12.0 and 12.1 (Doc ID 858842.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 04, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Application Object Library - Version 12.0.0 to 12.1.3 [Release 12 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After following Document 304209.1, About the oracle.apps.icx.security.session.created business event, users are still able to login with the same account in 2 concurrent sessions.

IMPORTANT: Enabling this will still allow the user to login and use the new session. This functionality enforces other existing sessions to be invalidated (DISABLED_FLAG = 'Y' in table ICX_SESSIONS for all other records for that user). Another note worthy item is that select users, such as SYSADMIN, GUEST, ANONYMOUS, are excluded and allowed to login multiple times.
