Unable To End Date Role On A Resource

This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
In 11.5.10, when inactivating the Roles for certain resources, getting error message as:
"APP-JTF-380175: Role Type is not active for the given date range."
Steps to Reproduce
==============
Navigate to Resource Manager -> Maintain Resource -> Resources
On the search screen, enter a resource name and find. On the next screen, click Resource Details.
On the resource details, navigate to the Roles and enter an end date
Instance Name

Production, test and development
Recent Changes
=============
Upgrade from 11.5.8 to 11.5.10
Workaround
=========
No workaround. Unable to end date a role.
Business Impact
=============
The reports are showing the resource with incorrect roles, be are unable to end date the roles.
Expectation
=========
When inactivating the roles for resources should not error:
"APP-JTF-380175: Role Type is not active for the given date range."
