Symptoms
On R12 / XDO 5.6.3
1. 'View Output' of the BI Publisher PDF output does not show the foreign characters.
For example, the umlaut character is 'ä' instead of 'ä', and 'ü'instead of 'ü'
2. The xml formatted data file has the correct foreign characters.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Run a concurrent program to generate an xml formatted outfile with umlaut characters.
