Negative Inventory Allowed (Doc ID 865705.1)

Symptoms

 On 11.5.10.2,
Discrete Job completion failure, not displaying backflush form. Backflush
form normally allows user to manage backflush problems. New form is providing this data in piece
meal, instead of displaying the data on the backflush form.
If you set profile "INV: Override Neg for Backflush" the form displays, but the profile also
overrides the Inventory Organization parameter for preventing negative inventory.

Expect
That the system to function correctly by showing the right error messages.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. With Profile "INV: Override Neg for Backflush"set to NO.
2. Navigate to Work In Process/WIP Material Transactions/Completion Transactions.
3. Enter job number that has shortage on a component.
4. Get these errors 'PART NUMBER failed validation' then 'Quantity must be less than or equal to
Available to transact' then 'WIP completion transaction failed' then 'Tried to modify quantity
onhand at level other than locator or subinventory level. Cause. The system has some type of error
which tried to modify quantity onhand at level other than locator or subinventory'
