When attempting to change to the currency from the currency picker,
the following error shows up on the welcome bin:
and if you go to the shopping cart you will find an error message like this one

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Define a configurable layout for a section
2. Enable multi-currency for the site
3. Change the currency in iStore Customer UI
