Applies to:Oracle Transportation Operational Planning - Version: 5.5
This problem can occur on any platform.
An Itineary is configured with the setting ""CONSOL INTO ONE SHIP MULTI EQUIPMENT". When using the Show Routing Options/Optimize method to plan an order which is expected to split across multiple equipments, multiple shipments are created. When this same order is planned via the Bulk Plan action, a single shipment is created. The same results are expected from both actions.
-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1- Create an equipment group with weight capacity that is less than the order's weight.
2- Create an order release with weight capacity that exceeds the created equipment group's weight.
NOTE: The above is to prepare the order/shipment to use the equipment multiple times.
3- Create a single leg itinerary with Auto Consolidation Type of "CONSOL INTO ONE SHIP MULTI EQUIPMENT".
4- Select the order > Edit > assign a fixed itinerary > save > actions > Bulk Plan
> see one shipment created with multiple equipments. (Default planning parameter used)
5- Select the order > Edit > remove the fixed itinerary > save > actions > unassign
the order > actions > show routing options > select the itinerary > optimize > see
one shipment for each equipment and not one shipment multi-equipment as expected. (Multiple shipments)
