Goal

OEXOEORD - R12

While Reducing Quantity - Order Reservation - the following error is displayed:

This item is defined as being lot indivisible. For this reason the entire lot quantity must be used. The system does not permit indivisible lots to be divided.

What causes this ?

Example:
--------
A sales order is created for a lot controlled item. At the sales order line level while reserving the item, a lot number was entered which has on hand availability as 300 units. When we enter quantity less than 300, say 50 the following error is displayed:

This item is defined as being lot indivisible. For this reason the entire lot quantity must be used. The system does not permit indivisible lots to be divided.

Because of this issue we are also not able to partially ship an order (suppose in the above case 300 quantity is reserved, we are not able to partially ship a lesser quantity).
