Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
On 11.5.10.2 in Production:
You raised a scenario where when you need to do a WIP component return from a job of a serialized component,
the system is not validating the serial number(s) actually issued to the job.
It looks like it is only validating what serial numbers have been issued to the assembly on any job.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expected behavior would be that the system would only allow selection of the serial numbers issued to the job during
a WIP component return.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Perform a WIP component return from a job of a serialized component
  2. System is not validating the serial number(s) actually issued to the job

NOTE: this applies to Standard Jobs only. There is currently (Feb 2014) still no validation for Non-Standard Jobs -- see

Note 1623735.1 - Oracle Allows to WIP Return Any Serial Number Even One That was Never Issued to Job
