Timecard OVN (Object Version Number) and Approvals (Doc ID 946985.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Time and Labor - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.1 HRMS RUP4 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Need to confirm information related to HXC_TIME_BUILDING_BLOCKS table.

Suppose employee filling his Timecard is going for 5 levels of approval.

So, when timecard is submitted for the first time the OVN(object version number) is 1. and approved timecard at all 5 level will have OVN 2..right?

Next time if Timecard is rejected and resubmitted the OVN will 4 for all levels of approval...

But when this repeats 2 or 3 times more,at that time Timecard approved at each level is saved under different OVN ie eg- Approver 1 - OVN 16, Approver 2 - OVN 17 and so on..

Pleas clarify..
