This document will show the user how to use diagnostic tools to investigate workflow decision processes. This should help answer questions like
"How does workflow decide to send this notification?"
"Why is my supplier receiving this notification?"
"What logic was used to choose this approver?"
Workflow is a business event tool that changes a document status from one state to the next based on complex decision flows. It is helpful to understand how to track these flows in order to explain why a document status has been changed.
This document will diagram how to identify the workflow processes, activities and functions in order to point the user to the underlying sql code.
This is applicable for all versions of workflow.
