Receipts Workbench Issue: Unable To Apply Receipt To An Invoice, No Error Message is Raised, Application is Not Saved. (Doc ID 958554.1)

Symptoms

Cannot apply receipt to an invoice, no error is raised but when you attempt to save the application the following form message appears:

Do you want to save the changes you have made?

The error does not happen for all receipts. Review of the FND debug log shows:
