Customer Workbench Error: Re-activating a Customer Site Business Purpose Calls API HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_SITE_V2PUB.UPDATE_CUST_SITE_USE and Raises Error: APP-AR-96282 Error: Column created_by module must have a value. (Doc ID 958634.1)

Symptoms

When trying to re-activate Customer Account Site Use using the TCA API or via the Customer Form, Hz_cust_account_site_v2pub.Update_cust_site_use is called and this API gives the following error

APP-AR-96282 Error: Column created_by module must have a value.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Via Customer Interface

  1. Create Customer Account using Customer Interface
  2. Query the Customer and inactivate the Account Site
    The Account Bill-to site use also gets inactivated.
  3. Again activate the same Account Site
    The Account Bill-to site use remains inactivated.
  4. Use TCA API to activate the Bill-to site use.

Via Customer Form

Responsibility:  Receivables Manager
Navigation:
Customers > Customers

Select one of the Addresses > Open

Click on Business Purposes tab and select/ enter a record for Bill-To site use.

Check/ select a site use to reactivate and then save.
When saving the updated business purpose active_flag, you receive the following error.

APP-AR-96282 Error: Column created_by_module must have a value.
