Opening Buyers Page or PO Approval Notification Displays Error: You Have Encountered An Unexpected Error: ORA-20001: APP-FND-02902: Multi-Org Profile Option Is Required (Doc ID 960017.1)

When attempting to access the Buyers page or when attempting to open a Purchase Order (PO) approval notifications from the worklist the following error occurs

You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the system administrator for assistance.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Setup -> Personnel -> Buyers
2. At this moment the above mentioned error occurs


1. Create a Standard Purchase Order and submit for approval
2. As approver click on the approval notification in the worklist.
3. At this moment the approval notification is opened, but displays an error
