Issue with OMD - Edit Shipment agent (Doc ID 969174.1)

Last updated on JULY 09, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version: 5.5.05.06 - Release: 5.5
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The OMD - Edit Shipment agent fails to work with shipments created from Order Movement and leaves the Order Movement with zero weight, volume and quantity. The following error is observed in the log:
Cannot delete the ORDER_RELEASE record. A ORDER_MOVEMENT record references it in its ORDER_RELEASE_GID column. java.sql.SQLException: ORA-02292: integrity constraint (GLOGOWNER.FK_OM_ORDER_RELEASE_GID) violated - child record found

The test case client follows is as below:

01. Client creates a Order Base - Order Release. Creates a Order Movement - Builds Shipment
02. Modifies the Transport Handling Unit count on the Order Base and then saves
03. The OMD - Edit Shipment fails with above error and does not propogate the changes

It is to be noted that this agent works fine when there is no Order Movement (and just Order Base - Order Release - Shipment)
