Unable To Add Items In Direct Item Entry Page Using Customer Part Number (Doc ID 972254.1)

Symptoms

On iStore, 11.5.10 OR 12 OR 12.1 versions,
When attempting to add item to shopping cart through Direct Item Entry page -
Try to 'Fill Details' of the item with the customer part number of the item,
the following error occurs.

Invalid Item Number or Item not set up for purchase through this store

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to iStore and Navigate to Direct Item Entry
2. Add Customer Part number and Fill Details


BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot use Customer Part number for adding items to the cart.
