AUTO FILLING OF COMMUNICATION METHOD DOESNT WORK

Symptoms

On OTM Version 6.0.3

When saving an Order Release where an Involved Party is added with no Communication Method populated an error is generated.

Cannot insert the ORDER_RELEASE_INV_PARTY record. COM_METHOD_GID must be set.

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("GLOGOWNER"."ORDER_RELEASE_INV_PARTY"."COM_METHOD_GID")

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1 - Log on to an internal 6.0.3 system

2 - Navigate to: Order Management > Order Release > Order Release

3 - Create a new Order Release EG DEL89

4 - Click through to the Involved Party tab

5 - Populate Involved Party Contact: LEE

6 - Communication Method, was blank, leave it blank.

7 - Populate Involved Party Qualifier with BILL-FROM

8 - Click SAVE then FINISHED

9 - The following error is shown:
