Should Changes to Item Category be Automatically Reflected in Purchase Order Lines Having The Item ? (Doc ID 976274.1)

In the Item Master form, the category assigned to the item has been updated. However, the purchase order lines which are having the item - have not been updated to show this new category change. Is this normal behaviour ?
