SSHR Absence with 0.5 Days Duration Getting Saved as 1 Day After Approval

Symptoms

Problem Description

When entering a confirmed leave for 0.5 days, after approval it is being rounded as 1 day.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Absence duration should not be rounded to the next whole number.

STEPS


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Self service > absence management > create absence
  2. Select the absence type > the date fields are visible however the time fields are not visible
  3. a) Enter e.g. 15 Dec 2009 - 15 Dec 2009 calculation duration defaults to 1
    b) override the 1 duration to .5
  4. Click next > submit to manager for approval

Login as manager > click notification > reads as 0.5 duration > once the manager approves it the value gets rounded off to full day.
Login in as employee, view your approved leave = 1 day instead of 0.5 duration that the manager approved.
