Symptoms

Create Accounting - Assets errors with:

ERROR
-----------------------
Error 95325 The GL date is not in an open or a future enterable period. Please select a valid GL date or open the period.

A review of the assets/events shows that the events are using the dated place in service (for additions) or transaction effective date for the GL date.  It is expected that for back-dated transactions the current open period is used as the GL date.
