Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version to 5.5.06 [Release 5.5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Using OTM 5.5.05 when an Order has more than one order line and for where one or more order lines is split over more than one ship unit record, if a quantity of the Ship Units is split off from the order it would be expected that the remainder stays with the original order, however the original order now has none of the quantity for the Line.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create an order release.
   a - Populate locations:
       Source Location
       Destination Location
   b. Select the radial button: Line Item
   c. Click on ship unit
   d. Select Release Method: auto_calc_unique
   e. Click on New Line Item
   f. Populate:
       Packaged Item ID : default
       Total Package Count: 2
       Net weight: 30
       Net volume: 30
       Package length/width/height: 2
       Transport handling unit: default
Number Of Layers On Ship Unit: 1
       Quantity Per Layer: 1

2. Query on created order and use Action > Split Order Release > split one of the ship unit off.

3. From the result screen a new order release is created (-006)

4 . Click on the hyperlink for the new order - notice you have a ship unit and line item record.

5. Edit the original order - note that on the Ship Unit tab is missing the packaged item details and the line item tab is now empty
