Goal
Due to security risks for many companies it is required to use minimum 1 special character for the Password. Please be aware, that fo rthe APPLSYSPUB password certain special characters in the password are disallowed.
As the APPLSYSPUB User and Password is only used to initiate a first connection to the APPS Schema, to be able to make the secure User Connection into the Instance, this Password can safely be ignored for the security restrictions.
It has been identified, that Autoconfig places an escape character '\' in front of some special characters used for the Password of APPLSYSPUB, so that it is impossible to connect to the Instance.
This problem has been identified for the special characters '#', '!', ':' and '='.
The question here is, if it is possible to use the special character '#' for the Password of APPLSYSPUB ?
