Last updated on NOVEMBER 10, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Planning - Version 11.5.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Executable:GMPRELAP - Auto Release of Planning suggestions for APS

Goal

Is it possible to create Batches or Firm Planned Orders (FPOs) from releasing Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) planned order for OPM made items :

a) By using the concurrent program GMPRELAP Auto Release of Planning suggestions for APS (profile GMP:Auto Implement APS Suggestions set to Yes)

b) AND using manual numbering (Production Supervisor / Setup / Parameters / Document Numbering tab:
i) Batch Numbering set as Manual when attempting to create batches (profile GMP: Implement New Production Order Suggestion set as Batch(0))
ii) Firm Planned Order Numbering set as Manual when attempting to create FPOs (profile GMP: Implement New Production Order Suggestion set as FPO(1))

Each of the profiles referenced above are set at the Site level. In a decentralized install the profiles are set in the source instance

With the above set up one of the following two failures in GMPRELAP module: Auto Release of Planning suggestions for APS are seen:

Implementing Batches
-SY_INVALID_MANUAL_DOC
Cannot convert to Batch/FPO, Manual Doc Type User-Defined Exception

OR

Implementing FPOs
-SY_INVALID_MANUAL_DOC
Cannot convert to Batch/FPO, Manual Doc Type User-Defined Exception
