What does this Warning/Error Message means in Daybreak: "Number of current user logins is greater than the user licenses."? (Doc ID 1612276.1)

After logged into Daybreak; Users receives the following Warning/Error message: "Number of current user logins is greater than the user licenses."?

Purpose

 

 
 

The message, "Number of current user logins is greater than the user licenses." appears when you have more individual users logged into Daybreak LS than the number of licensed users as indicated by your license key. Users can have the error created by not correctly exiting out of Daybreak.

There are usually two causes for this message:

  1. There are more individual users logged into Daybreak LS than the number of licensed users as indicated by the customer license key. This can only be corrected by updating the license key. The customer would need to work with their Business Analyst / Customer Relations Manager to address this issue, as it would impact their Annual Maintenance Contract / Service Level Agreement.
  2. Users are not correctly logging out of Daybreak which is leaving records in the User Logins table as "open" which results in the system reporting as if (1) exists.
