STDCRDMS : New card maintenance for problematic customer IS is failing with ST-CRDM05 (Card Number already exists) error. (Doc ID 2573857.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.4.0.0.0 version, Production Support-SET

Duplicate Card Number generated on STDCRDMS Screen

System is generating duplicate card number while creating the record through STDCRDMS screen. Please find the attached error debugs, screen shot and share the solution.

ERROR

ST-CRDM05 : Card Number already exists.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. STDCRDMS : Create one record for the problematic customer ID, which is having one card with number ending other than 01.
2. System will populate ST-CRDM05 error during save action.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot create new card maintenance in STDCRDMS screen for problematic Customer ID.
