Information in this document applies to any platform.

When attempting to authorize a customer (FUNCTIONID : STDCIF , ACTION : AUTH ) , the following error occurs.

CUS-ADUP01 - Address already exists for Customer No:XXXXX Media:CIF Location:MAIL
ST-SAVE-004 - Failed to Save the Record

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a customer and delete the same before authorization.

2. Update the ONCE_AUTH Flag to N and delete the customer record.

3. Try to create the customer with same customer Number generated before.

4. Authorize the customer record created in the second step.

The issue has the following business impact:
The customer would like to re-use the same customer number since it is linked to a unique ID. Due to the current issue they are unable to authorize the Customer Information File (CIF) number creation and hence further processing like Account number creation and other actions cannot be performed.
