Forex (FX) Transaction Files Are Not Uploading Successfully And Are Getting Stuck With Process Status 'W' (Doc ID 2596599.1)

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Forex (FX) transaction files are not uploading successfully, and are getting stuck with process status = 'W' in the temporary table i.e. 'T_TRANSACTIONS' table.

 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

When an Operations user goes to the File upload from front-end of the application and uploads a FX Transaction file, the upload should happen successfully with successful report generation.

The process status should be 'P' in the temporary table 'T_TRANSACTIONS' for all the records uploaded.

 

STEPS to reproduce
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Log in into the application using Operations user
2. Navigate to 'Operations' Menu
3. Select 'File Upload' option from the drop-down.
4. Upload a file for feed 'FX_TRANS'
5. File doesn't get uploaded successfully, instead it gets stuck with status 'W' in temporary table 'T_TRANSACTIONS'


BUSINESS IMPACT

As the FX transaction file is not getting uploaded successfully from front-end, the FX transaction records from the file will not be posted into the system.

Due to this, the customer will not be able to see the FX related transaction done in his/her portfolio and hence the Performance Calculations done for the client would remain incorrect until all the records are posted.

Changes

There are no changes to the environment, product, account or hardware which has triggered the issue.
