Dedupe customer is not enabled : Existing customer link as Y : System fails with error (Doc ID 2654132.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

while migrating account to OFSLL by linking existing customer (Existing customer indicator= Y), system fails with error: customer does not exist. If Existing customer indicator= N, system creates account but the first account , for the second, it errors out with unique constraint.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
System should process all the accounts while migration

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Board a new account with existing customer ind as 'Y'.
  2. Verify that system should board the loan successfully

    Dedupe should be enabled to search the existing customer to the accounts. 

      

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot process new customer with multiple accounts
