ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Collateral Adjustment Rouding issues


It is noticed that collateral Amount is getting rounded to 3 decimals even though the currency level decimal maintained is 2 Digits, contract was amended and collateral was reduced from 30 % to 25 %.
Post amendment the collateral amount was not appearing in the screen, it is noticed that collateral amount was rounded to 3 Decimal whereas at currency level rounding is 2 Decimals.
While simulating the issue it is noticed that Adjustment Amount is getting rounded into 3 decimals due to which after authorization collateral amount is getting rounded to 3 decimals as well.


 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Collateral amount should be rounded as per maintenance at currency level
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Amend the contract and reduce the alloted collateral percentage
2. check the amended collateral amount


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users there shall be a diffrence in collateral amount expected and appeaing collateral amount, therevmight be financial and reputational damage to bank.
