SF - Correspondence Getting Added Multiple Times When Using Webservice (Doc ID 2727083.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

Client observed, correspondence is getting added multiple times when using PUT webservice for updating application collateral details. Status change event is triggered.

Note: Updating the application collateral details through UI screen, status change events are not triggering.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------

Correspondence should be added as per the configuration. But currently system is not configured to create correspondence while updating the collateral details. But still system is creating correspondence.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Send and PUT web service request to update the collateral details 

2. Check the correspondence screen

3. Update the collateral details through UI screen  

4. Check the correspondence screen

5. Both the scenario, system should not create correspondence records if the system is not configured for the same


BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:

Due to this issue, users cannot process the update application webservice to update collateral details as it create correspondence, which has an impact on the business correspondence to customers
