Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Convert Precompute to Interest Bearing Starting Principal Balance is incorrect

When an account is converted from precompute to interest bearing the starting principal balance is not taking into account the principal adjustment minus, principal adjustment plus or principal waive balance buckets. For example if an account has a 2000 principal adjustment minus balance bucket when it is a precompute account and that principal adjustment was posted prior to the conversion transaction that 2000 principal adjustment minus is not included in the new principal bucket causing the new starting principal balance to be too high.

System should consider the O/s principle balance when posting Convert Precompute to Interest Bearing

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Post Convert Precompute to Interest Bearing transaction on the account
2. Verify the balance after posting the transaction

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, Incorrect balances are getting ported after posting the transaction
