White Background of the Visited Menu Item Makes It Unreadable When Menu Is Accessed Again from the Landing Page in Internet Explorer (Doc ID 2756984.1)

The visited menu item, in Internet Explorer, is displayed with white background on clicking the menu toggle button again from the landing page, making it unreadable.

This behavior is only encountered on Internet Explorer.

The menu items should be clearly visible whenever it is accessed and should not be covered with white background which makes it unreadable.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login using any user in Internet Explorer.
2. Go to menu toggle on the top left.
3. Navigate to any of the option in the menu.
4. On clicking the menu toggle again, the visited menu item is displayed with white background making it unreadable.
5. The white background disappears on clicking it again.
