There is a discrepancy in SWIFT message status between transaction and account opening messages. For transaction messages, whenever a validation fails during processing of SWIFT message, message status is ‘P’ and error code and description are displayed in Incoming Message Browser.But, for account opening message, whenever a validation fails, message status is displayed as ‘E’ and not ‘P’.
