Symptoms

When attempting to open the application on the android device,
the following error occurs.

You seem to be an offline popup with a message
  "Please check your internet connection to continue using this app"


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install the application on an android device.
2. Open the application.
