Cheque Validation Is Not Working Through ECA - RM-AD-EC-01- Failed in ECA (Doc ID 2939663.1)

Symptoms

On : 14.5.0.0.0 version, Production Support

Cheque validation is not working through ECA

When a invalid cheque no. is inserted in the field, Instead of having an valid error, System is displaying an exception 'Failed in ECA' and in logs find the following exception

"Exception Trace3: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0".

 STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to In House Cheque Deposit screen.
2. Perform a transaction with an invalid cheque.
3. Approve the transaction
4. When submit on sent back, Verify whether the valid error is shown
