Getting the core validation error message “Payment Id: - Txn Dt cannot be less than Effective Dt ” when trying to change the payment date on a suspense payment.

ERROR

 “Payment Id: - Txn Dt cannot be less than Effective Dt ” when trying to change the payment date on a suspense payment.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Create an account.
2.Post a payment for above created account with payment date as less than the account effective date. Payment will go to suspense for this case.
3.Make sure that the system parameter “TPE_REVERSE_TXN_POSTING” is maintained as YES.
4.Try to modify the above suspense payment’s date as more than equal to account’s effective date in Payment Maintenance screen.
5.The validation error message will pop up as mentioned above.
