There Is No Synchronization Between Old Password And New Password For Some Scenarios (Doc ID 2960694.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Banking Digital Experience - Version 20.1.0.0.0 to 20.1.0.0.0 [Release 20]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to Change the Password,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Please Enter a different Password

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. User goes to the change password screen and let's say for example his current password is Welcome@5
2. But he enters Welcome@8 in the current password
3. Then he enters Welcome@8 in the new password, and it shows him the error that "Please Enter a different Password"
4. Then he goes to the current password and, instead of erasing the entire password and typing it again, he only changes the last digit from 8 to 5, to make it correct i.e. Welcome@5
5. Even after that, the error at the New Password screen remains as it is, even though as per validation it should disappear as current and new passwords are different.
