No Such Record Found Error Even Though User Details Are Available for Searched Party ID

Symptoms
While searching for an user using Party ID (XXXXXXXX) if more than one records are displayed where the searched party id is not listed as the first result, below error is displayed on screen if the user clicks on the exact match party id.
ERROR
-----------------------
No such record found.
However, on searching by the associated user name for same party id (XXXXXXXX) it retrieves the details, confirming that the user is linked to the same Party ID/CIF.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as admin and click on User Management.
2. On the User Management screen click on Search Party and enter party id and click on search.
3. More than one records are getting listed with the searched party id not as the first result.
4. On selecting the exact match party id no user details are shown, while on searching with the associated user name details are shown for the user associated with the searched party id.
