B18: Product Groups Do Not Return Within The Search Within Opportunities (Doc ID 1377381.1)

Symptoms


On : Fusion B18 release version, Search

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
B18: Product Groups do not return within the search within Opportunities when usiong Browse Catalog button


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Browse catalog button should return product groups in Sales Catalog

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

A) Log in with Sales Administrator user or Salesrep user

Navigate > Opportunities > Open or Create an opportunities
> Enter or create revenue line
> Search for products groups :
Product Groups do not return within the search list of values within Opportunities revenue line

B)

1)
Within Functional Setup Manager search the task group for “Define Sales Catalog”

2)
Open the task Manage Product Groups

Note: The product group and all sub groups are published.


3) Navigator > Sales > Opportunities
> Open an existing Opportunity
> Browse the Sales Catalog
> No Product group is displayed

4)
BUT
Navigator > Sales > Opportunities
> Open an existing Opportunity
> creating a revenue line > select type = Group
> Use LOV and ALL published product groups ar displayed

So issue looks related to Browse Catalog button

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot use Browse Catalog button but is able to select product groups anyway when creating a Revenue Line for Opportunity
