Purpose
Order promising is an activity that enables checking availability and scheduling of fulfillment lines. Prerequisite activities for order promising are the collection of required data elements into the distributed order orchestration and planning data repository, generation of the order promising data store, and starting of the order promising engine.
Fulfillment lines can be scheduled directly from the Order Orchestration work area by clicking on the Schedule action or you may check supply availability or search for availability options from the Check Availability action in the Order Orchestration work area. Selecting the check availability action from the Order Orchestration work area redirects you to the check availability page in the order promising application. The check availability page enables you to simulate order promising results, view availability options, and access related order promising rules and reports.
This document focuses on the key errors encountered during the above activities and provides the appropriate resolution suggestions.
