Troubleshooting Guide - Manage Opportunities (Doc ID 1438322.1)

Purpose

Standard Logging Practices:

Choose Troubleshooting Options from the Help > Troubleshooting menu and to modify Troubleshooting Options settings as follows: 

1. Select the Applications logging checkbox and choose the level "FINEST" from the Severity Level drop-down list. 
2. Enter the module name "oracle.apps.sales.%" in the Modules field.

Problem Catalog

Problem 1: Performance problem on Opportunity Home Page
Problem 2: Extensibility: Unable to Create Opportunity after adding new required fields.
Problem 3: Extensibility: Unable to Create/Edit Opportunity after adding new formula fields.
Problem 4: Extensibility: Unable to Create/Edit Opportunity after adding server scripts.
Problem 5: Reference Recommendations bin is not visible in the contextual area.
Problem 6: Group Spaces - The "Show Discussions and Wiki" check box is not present in the UI
Problem 7: Click on the Discussions tab in an Opportunity and it "hangs".
Problem 8: Check "Show Discussions and Wiki" and save an Opportunity, get error "The group space was not linked" on the UI.
Problem 9: The following error is displayed when trying to close an opportunity: No competitor is associated with this opportunity. Select and add a suitable competitor for this opportunity.
Problem 10: Portlet error in Marketing Source pop or Leads subtab
