Oracle Fusion Product and Catalog Management - Version to [Release 1.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The item catalogs are Key Flexfield (KFF) enabled and require that the Key Flexfields be created prior to creating catalogs.  In addition, catalogs are created for specific usage in other Fusion Applications and require the catalog to be assigned to the functional area representing these applications.  For example, Purchasing, Inventory, Costing are examples of Functional Areas that use the item catalogs.

This document describes how to setup the Key Flexfield for Item Catalogs and to create catalogs based on the KFF.

Solution provided in this document is specific to Item Catalogs and DOES NOT apply to Sales Catalogs (aka Product Groups).  Sales Catalogs can be defined using CRM setup task: Manage Product Groups.
