Invalid Credential Error When Logging in to Fusion Applications After Changing User's Password (Doc ID 1483142.1)

Symptoms

User received an Invalid credential error when logging in to Fusion Applications after resetting the password, the below steps were performed:

  1. Login with Fusion super user and create a new user
  2. Reset the user's password in OIM
  3. In the first login, user is asked to provide the security question and change his password, the process completes without any errors
  4. When the user tries to login with the new password, he couldn't login and get Invalid credentials error

OIM Diagnostic log shows the following error:
